Role Description:

We are looking for a proactive, experienced, and hands-on Director of Social Media with a track record of building and growing successful social platforms and influencer communities. Reporting directly to the SVP, Digital and working closely with our Founder and SVP of Brand Marketing, this individual will translate the ideation and vision of the company into content and a highly engaged community that help fuel our growth. This key role will lead the charge in defining and executing the strategy, monitoring performance, and helping to supercharge the Brand’s awareness and buzz.

This role is remote, but requires approximately 25% travel to NY, CT, VT and other locations nationally and internationally as business requires and to get to know our business and team.

Detailed Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Social Content
    • Envision and implement a strategy for organic social, specifically TikTok, Instagram and YouTube in partnership with Brand and Digital Marketing
    • Serve as a thought leader; audit our current process and creative/editorial direction; provide direction for internal partners; lead monthly content brainstorms 
    • Develop campaigns and ongoing cadence informed by brand strategy, pillars and Brand calendar; translate the Brand’s rich storytelling opportunities into engaging content
    • Collaborate with Brand and Product development teams to create exciting and informative social ‘buzz’ regarding new product launches
    • Conceptualize and lead the creation of compelling content for Instagram feed, stories, reels & TikTok; look for ways to stand out on social media and jump on new trends
    • Review grid/posts on a weekly basis and give final top approval on all posts
    • Stay current with social media best practices and new digital technologies
    • Work in lock steps with paid media team to ensure a 360-degree approach to marketing
    • Guide community management best practices and establish a process for generating and amplifying testimonials and transformational stories from our community
    • Identify opportunities to partner with like-minded brands and influencers to expand brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Influencer Community Building
    • Create our influencer marketing strategy, including always-on seeding, launch campaigns, and paid partnerships
    • Strategize and develop influencer marketing campaigns to support product launches and drive brand awareness and reach on Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, and other platforms
    • Partner with VP of Communications and PR on successful execution of in-person brand events including launches and beauty classes with our team and Founder
    • Bring and develop a solid network of influencer talent, agents, and other gatekeepers; maintain regular communication between the brand and influencer partners, actively source and negotiate new influencer partnerships
    • Oversee all outreach, onboarding, sampling, gifting, and management of the influencer community; create an unparalleled experience for influencers that supports their sustained excitement and engagement 
    • Work with internal partners and external vendors to effectively implement relationship management tools and processes
  • Leadership
    • Build a nascent social and influencer strategy into an awareness and traffic driver for the Brand; develop strategy, processes, and performance evaluation from scratch
    • Manage and mentor a junior team to support the overall team mission and objectives
    • Spearhead market and industry research to inform social media and other strategies
    • Develop and manage social media budgets, resources and timelines; optimize resources effectively across content creation and amplification to meet goals

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ proven experience in influencer/social/PR/communications for a brand or agency in the beauty/wellness/lifestyle space
  • A passion for beauty brands and the digital/social landscape; forward-thinking with a trend-hunting mindset
  • Expertise in managing and growing social media on platforms with an emphasis on Tiktok and Instagram; well-versed in social media tools and analytics

Interim Visual Merchandising Project Manager

We are looking for an interim Visual Merchandising Project Manager to oversee and manage all of the ongoing visual merchandising programs . This assignment starts mid-March, 20 hours per week, for 5 months. This position collaborates with the CEO, Creative Director, and SVP of Brand Marketing on a daily and weekly basis, from conception stages to execution for all projects.  The role reports directly to the SVP of Global Sales and is included in all strategic discussions and communications with retail partners globally, so as to align on individual plans that bring the brand to life and ensure consistent brand visual representation and brand communication in stores.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and directly manage complex project timelines and workloads, and facilitate collaboration between cross-functional internal teams for all projects.
  • Direct lead for all communication with external agencies and production vendors that assist with project development and execution.

We are searching for an analytical Manager of Digital Marketing to serve as a key support resource for the Tata Harper Skincare DTC Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be driven by data, best practices and highly analytical, managing communication between the DTC Marketing team and our digital agencies.   • Paid Media Management
    • Responsible for day to day management and coordination of Paid Media:
      • Social: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube, TikTok & emerging channels). 

      • SEM: Handle weekly management with SEM team, ensuring best in class performance while optimizing ROI and revenue goals.

      • Affiliate: Assist in coordination of the affiliate marketing channel.

    • Managing budgets and campaigns across all digital channels to drive strong return on investment and efficient CAC
    • Manage the paid media calendar and content brief process, including coordination of the edits/approvals process for all paid media assets.

    • Understand and leverage both in-channel data as well as Google Analytics LC data to develop a comprehensive understanding of performance. 

    • Consult third party tools (like CDP, Attribution Tools) to review holistic marketing performance and identify opportunities with new segments or CRM capabilities. 

    • Analyze customer demographic, psychographic, and purchasing behaviors using first party and third party data and reports. 

    • Conduct customer segmentation based on evaluating online marketing and selling metrics.

  • Strategy & Research
    •  Research target audience interest/activities to hone in on targeting strategy, best practices, future strategy optimization 

    • In-the-know regarding current paid social media trends, opportunities, strategy and paradigm shifts

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience planning and executing paid advertising campaigns on key platforms including, Meta, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and preferably Google AdWords

R & D Coordinator

The R&D Coordinator supports projects for skincare formula development by assisting R&D in all areas of responsibility to execute product launches on time and with excellence. This role is largely administrative, though certain projects require handling of products and packaging.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and manage Product Development timelines and coordinate associated R&D meeting schedules to achieve product launch dates.
  • Manage CEO and interdepartmental formula development communication and feedback.
  • Manage and track R&D formula prototype distribution.
  • Support Marketing and Wholesale teams with R&D product needs
  • Design, recruit, manage, analyze, and report results of consumer research surveys for formula and packaging development.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Director of Product Innovation who has a track record of launching products that exceed customer expectations. Reporting directly to the SVP, Brand Marketing and working closely with our Founder, this individual will translate the ideation and vision of the company into products and plans that support our rapid growth.

The Director of Product Innovation will deliver package designs that ensure that the materials, components, secondary packaging, shipping designs, tooling, and manufacturing meet project goals and requirements. This individual is responsible for working collaboratively with the multifunctional team to build timelines and activities to successfully execute a comprehensive plan to deliver products in market. This individual will also be instrumental in the effort to develop tools and processes to ensure new product success, reduce supply chain disruption, and minimize quality issues.

This role requires significant hands-on work, attention to detail, and mentorship of a small team. It also requires strong problem-solving skills and experience leading projects of global scope and complexity. The role is ideally based in Burlington or Middlebury, VT or in NY (with travel to VT and CT).

Detailed Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

Concept & Ideation

  • Lead the creative ideation and package engineering for new product launches, samples, merchandise, and promotional initiatives.
  • Represent and deliver upon an understanding of the culture and DNA of the brand; translate what is successful in both the physical retail and digital sales environments.
  • Research and communicate trends and new technologies to continuously evaluate best practices and support product innovation and sustainability goals.
  • Act as subject matter expert in materials (e.g., paper, plastic, aluminum, glass,
    corrugate, decoration, and closures) with an eye towards sustainability.
  • Ensure that packages/components meet the needs of the Brand, Corporation, regulatory legislation, retail partners, and consumer safety.

Package Development

  • Provide comprehensive feasibility of each concept or package that defines function, manufacturability, component cost, tooling estimates, development lead time and risk.
  • Source all packaging components including primary packages, secondary packages, corrugate, and tooling in close partnership with our Procurement team.
  • Develop detailed timelines in partnership with Project Manager including all package development tasks and manage to them.
  • Ensure all packaging is designed and executed to meet ship test standards and maintain quality through transportation and storage in pallet design.
  • Partner with Procurement team to manage relations with suppliers and vendors to identify issues proactively and resolve investigations.
  • Ensure all projects are completed and meet the intended design, quality, cost,
    functionality, and manufacturability objectives.

Implementation

  • Communicate and work closely with all development groups including R&D, Marketing, Design, Sales, Finance, and Manufacturing/QA.
  • Evaluate the likelihood and severity of risks, modify plans as needed, and effectively frame/communicate issues to drive decisions with Leadership.
  • Manage direct reports and communicate clearly with colleagues to ensure they are provided the necessary support and tools to deliver on projects.
  • Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and communication to receiving partners.
  • Work with Manufacturing and QA to define Fill and Assembly (F&A) specifications, including pallet plans and packaging fill instructions, design criteria and defect ranges to ensure optimal process flow from manufacture through filling and assembly.
  • Collaborate with production partners; successfully navigate situations where
    manufacturing hurdles arise.

Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in Packaging Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in cosmetic package development
  • Focused experience in CPG beauty industry with proven development and project management experience in wellness and skin care categories
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • An ability to form effective working relationships at all levels within the business within an interdisciplinary team and translate requests into action

Sales and Education Coordinator

Overall Description:

The Sales and Education Coordinator/Executive is directly responsible for achieving the planned retail sales goal in assigned doors through development of in-store teams, forming relationships with retailer management and staff, monitoring stock levels, and execution of special events.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Be in store 5 days a week: selling by example for all Beauty Advisors, Beauty Experts, Product Specialists, and freelancers; how to build and close sales.
  • Support retail stores growth within a territory by maintaining an appropriate and consistent call cycle for assigned stores.
  • Communicate regularly with Regional Executive and VP of Sales to communicate needs, share results and ideas.
  • Know your numbers (Sales Report) and what is needed for the week.
  • Have a schedule that is approved by your Regional Manager/VP of Sales and a plan on what is needed to accomplish the regions goals.
  • Connect with any freelance staff that you are responsible for.
  • Plan travel for upcoming weeks.
  • Review numbers, sell through, and out of stock lists and communicate needs to the coordinating departments.
  • Review on order report and communicate to counters/stores of in-coming stock.
  • Fill out needed grids from Wholesale Operations.
  • Submit weekly recap form to Regional Executive and VP of Sales (e.g. wins, challenges, and opportunities and total volume).
  • Attend weekly Sales Call every Wednesday at 12pm EST via Zoom.
  • Successfully implement all in store merchandising programs; ensure the consistent implementation of merchandising guidelines and uphold counter image, identity, and hygiene in accordance with Tata Harper standards. Submitting counter photos when new merchandising guidelines are launched.
  • Provide comprehensive training and motivation of both inter-sell and store staff of all products and promotions as needed.
  • Responsible for the setup, coordination, and execution of all in store events; supervision of all freelancers; negotiate event setup with department or store manager; establish goals. Track pre-sell and performance for each event.

Bi-Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Connect with Regional Manager/ VP of Sales having successes and challenges ready to review. 
  • Connect with the Global Education Director and explore Learn Worlds Education platform on training needs, ideas, and questions. 
  • Partner with store management to achieve targets, resolve issues and maintain positive relations.
